Giving Tuesday is a global movement that encourages people to support their communities through generosity and meaningful acts of kindness.
On this Giving Tuesday, we are proud to celebrate a tradition that reflects the very heart of who we are as a school - giving back. As a not-for-profit school that relies on the generosity of our community, we know firsthand the power of giving.
But equally important is teaching our students what it means to contribute meaningfully to the world around them.
This year, our school will be participating in Giving Tuesday by giving back. Tomorrow, we encourage our students and employees to bring a $2 donation in support of the Central Okanagan Food Bank, which is experiencing a significant increase in need this year.
While Giving Tuesday is a meaningful moment to come together in support of our community, it also reflects a much larger commitment that guides us throughout the year. At Aberdeen Hall, giving back isn’t something we do just once a year. It’s woven into our mission to cultivate character and leadership in every student. Each division follows a thoughtful, annual community support and service plan designed to help students learn through action, build ethical decision-making skills, and strengthen meaningful connections beyond our campus. Through these experiences, we empower our students to live with integrity and purpose.
We’re delighted to share some of the many ways the Aberdeen Hall community gives back throughout the year, examples that highlight the compassion, leadership, and commitment that define our school. You can read more about this in our Giving Back Tuesday newsletter HERE.
At Aberdeen Hall, we seek to admit well-rounded students who choose to be at our school. We are looking for students who demonstrate leadership through academic performance, involvement in co-curricular activities and civic engagement. We care about our students and seek those who value education and are prepared to enrich our incredible school community.
