Holiday Poinsettia & Greenery Sale
• Aberdeen Hall

We’re thrilled to once again offer our Holiday Poinsettia and Greenery Initiative! From beautiful poinsettias and wreaths to indoor and outdoor greenery arrangements, you’ll find everything you need to add a festive touch to your home this holiday season. These items also make wonderful gifts. Place your order HERE by Thursday, November 12.

Orders will be available for pickup at the Senior School Roundabout on Thursday, November 26 from 3:00 - 6:00pm. We need some awesome volunteers to help on pickup day and we’d love your help making this initiative a success!

• Delivery Truck Unloading - 5 volunteers: Time TBD. Flexible availability required; approximately one hour.

• Order Pick-Up & Handout - 5 volunteers: 3:00 - 4:30pm (pick-up continues until 6:00pm). Help for any amount of time is welcome!

Holiday Bake Sale
• Aberdeen Hall

Holiday spirit is bright at this student-favourite event. Families are encouraged to donate their most delicious, nut-free holiday goodies to make this event extra special for the kids. This year, the bake sale will be held on Monday, December 7.

Volunteer Opportunities:

• Event Chair, plus 2-3 committee members

• Volunteers on the day of the event to assist with: 

  • Receiving donations (4 volunteers)

  • Sorting and packaging donations (10 volunteers)

  • Setting up and sales (10 volunteers)

• We encourage all families to donate nut-free baked goods (home made or commercially prepared) - the more the merrier! Please watch the Courier in November for details.

Days of Cheer

In the final days leading up to winter break we show our gratitude to the wonderful employees at Aberdeen Hall by hosting this much-loved event. Families donate homemade or prepared nut-free breakfast items such as fruit, pastries, and breakfast wraps for staff to enjoy each morning.

Volunteer Opportunities:

• Event Chair, plus 4 volunteers to donate breakfast items each day (20 volunteers).

Big White Tubing Event
• Big White Ski Resort

Families are invited to gather for some tubing fun up at Big White Ski Resort. After the excitement, warm up by the fire while sipping hot chocolate and visiting with friends old and new.

Pre-Loved Book Fair
• Aberdeen Hall

With book prices ranging from $1 to $5, this fundraiser is a huge hit among students and teachers alike. If you find yourself with some free time over the winter break, why not declutter your bookshelves and contribute to this worthy event by donating your gently used books?

Volunteer Opportunities:

• Event Chair, plus 10-12 volunteers to help with the set up and sales

Spring Flowers & Plants Sale

Held just in time for Mother’s Day, this is the perfect opportunity to support the Guild while choosing from a vibrant selection of succulents, vegetables, herbs, planter boxes, flowers, and hanging baskets. Whether you're looking to add a touch of green to your garden or find a gift for someone special, this online sale has something for everyone.

Volunteer Opportunities:

• 8-10 volunteers to assist with unloading plants and order pick up at the school on delivery day.

Scholastic Book Fair

Last year, students enjoyed 5 full days of our Reading Rainbow themed book fair! This is an event everyone looks forward to each year with a percentage of the sales going directly to Aberdeen Hall’s classrooms.

• 20-25 volunteers to assist with set up and sales throughout the week.

Volunteers supervise the classrooms while employees gather in the Great Hall to enjoy a delicious meal provided by the Parent Guild.

Gryphons' Night

An end-of-year celebration for Aberdeen Hall families, filled with food, laughter, fun, games, and entertainment. Previous years have seen unforgettable moments, such as mini golf, an array of inflatables, and the all-time favourite: teacher dunk tank. This spectacular event is a true team effort, with dedicated parents, students, and employees joining forces to ensure its success.

Volunteer Opportunities:

• Event Chair, plus 4-5 committee members

• Volunteers on the day of the event: 

  • Set up (10 volunteers)

  • Assist at activity stations (80 volunteers)

  • Take down (10 volunteers).
